BRAY, Almer

of Wiarton passed away peacefully at New Horizon's Retirement Residence on Friday, October 23, 2009 in his 104th year. Cherished father of Doris (Ken) Rodgers of Lion's Head and Joe (Melanija) Bray of Acton. Special grandfather to David, Sylvia, John, Paul, Mark, Melanie and Peter, great grandfather to Courtney, Stewart, Reed, Tessa, Sophie, Liam and Ronim and great great grandfather to Lincoln. He will be sadly missed by his sister-in-law Maisie Bray of Lion's Head as well as his many nieces and nephews. Almer was predeceased by his wife Alma in 1991, infant son Robert, his parents Agnes (Jenks) and Joseph Bray, brothers Russell and Harold and sisters Helen Steip and Mary Tucker.

In respect of Almer's wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial service to celebrate Almer's life at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Mary Street, Wiarton on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Brad Mittleholtz officiating. Interment Eastnor Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, Wiarton. Donations made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy.
