Chester Ella May
Peacefully at the Golden Dawn Nursing Home, Lion's Head on Saturday
September 10th, 2005. Ella (Tremain) Chester of Lion's Head and formerly
of Elk Lake in her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late Norman Chester.
Second daughter of the late Alfred and Della (Panabaker) Tremain.
Dear mother of Delmer (Marg) of Elk Lake; Edward (Noriene) of Exeter;
Grace (Willard) Schlichter of New Dundee; Florence (Ken) Barker of
Cobolt; Violet Knox of New Liskeard; Norma (Don) Wilkinson of Elk
Lake; Ruth (Don) Smith of Tobermory; Helen (Jim) Dilworth of Wiarton;
and Bruce (Jean) of Goulais River. Special grandmother of 37 grandchildren,
several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Sister
of Alice Tremain of Toronto, Jean (Orville) Clark of Woodstock, and
sister-in-law of Mary Tremain of Primrose, and Warren Faw of Cambridge.
Predeceased by one grandson Brian Wilkinson, two great grandsons Jeremy
Wardrop, Joshua Dilworth, three sisters Reta Faw, Grace Tremain, Ruth
Tremain and one brother Ford Tremain. The family will receive friends
at the Davidson Chapel 71 Main Street, Lion's Head on Sunday from
2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. The funeral service will be conducted
from the Bethel Missionary Church 18 Ferndale Road, Lion's Head on
Monday September 12th at 1:00 PM with Pastor Charles Gingerich officiating.
Interment will take place in Elk Lake Cemetery on Wednesday September
14th at 1:00 PM. A memorial service will be held in Elk Lake at a
later date. Donations to the Golden Dawn Nursing Home or Grey Bruce
Health Services would be appreciated. Condolences may be sent to the
