Deakins, Ruby

of Wiarton, passed away peacefully at University Hospital in London, with her family by her side, on Tuesday October 6, 2009 in her 84th year. Beloved mother of Ted (friend Doreen Lenz) of R.R. 1 Wiarton and Barry (Sylvia) of R.R. 2 Wiarton. Ruby will be sadly missed by grandchildren Chris (Treena), Cindy (Paul Kirk), Alicia (Richard Willie), Erin (Jeff) Brus, Andrew and Kaleigh, and great grandchildren Alex, Brandon and Riley. Also survived by sisters Alice Donnelly, Harriett Skene, brother Ken (Eunice) Clemens, brother-in-law Bob Deakins, and her best friend Patty Shields as well as many nieces and nephews. Ruby was predeceased by her parents Jennie (Simpson) and George Clemens, husband Bill, brothers Wes and Alvin Clemens, and sisters Elva May and Margaret Ann and best friends Ab and Mary Barfoot.

A celebration of Ruby's life will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2009 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Wiarton Meeting Place. Please come to share your memories and stories with her family. At Ruby's request, cremation has taken place, with interment in Bayview Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, Wiarton. Donations made to the Wiarton Hospital, London Health Sciences Centre or charity of choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
