of Wiarton passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side on Sunday, October 26, 2008 in her 78th year. Cherished wife of John (Jack) for 32 years. Loving mother of Gayle Sadler of Banff, Alberta, Danny Porter of Vancouver, B.C. and Gregory. Special grandma of Dawn Sadler. She will be sadly missed by brother-in-law Douglas (Wanda) Hill of Owen Sound and George Walker of Port Elgin and sister-in-law Dorothy Hill of Wiarton as well as many nieces and nephews. Laura was predeceased by her parents Alma (Kain) and Lloyd McGarvey, infant sons Barry and Randy, sisters Shirley Craig and Mildred Stewart, brother-in-law Roger Hill and sister-in-law Catherine Walker.

Family and friends are invited to share their memories at the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, Wiarton on Wednesday, October 29, 2008 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A Rebekah Lodge Service will be held on Wednesday at 6:45 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Laura's life will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, October 30, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Ed Laksmanis officiating. Interment Bayview Cemetery. Donations made to the Wiarton Hospital or St. John's United Church would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy.
