JANSSEN, DR. HENRY PETER
Suddenly on Tuesday January 22, 2008 in his 58th year.
Beloved husband of 27 years of Lynn, loving father of Rebecca and
David. He will be sadly missed by siblings Tom and Donna Janssen,
Grace and Joe Stokman, Joyce Economopoulos-Janssen, Marianne and Jim
Gashi, Herman and Heather Janssen, Jean Janssen and Denise Parent
and sisters-in-law Yvonne Janssen and Sharon Janssen, parents- in-law
Anton and Barbara Wittmer, brother-in-law Wayne(and Elizabeth) Wittmer,
sister-in-law Janet Pelletier. Uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.
Henry was pre-deceased by his parents, Herman and Jean Janssen and
brothers Frank and Hans.
Henry graduated from medical school at the University of Western Ontario
in 1978 and completed his internship at Scarborough General Hospital
in 1979, where he and Lynn met. He then worked 10 years in Linton
North Dakota before coming home to Woodstock in 1989 where he had
a family practice for 14 years. Henry and Lynn moved to the Lion's
Head area in 2003 where he enjoyed working at both medical clinics
in Lion's Head and Tobermory and at the hospital in Lion's Head. Henry
thoroughly enjoyed the hiking, boating and rock landscaping that their
new home provided them. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends,
colleagues and patients.
A celebration of Henry's life will take place at Cobble Beach Golf
Links, Owen Sound on Saturday, March 1, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Reception
to follow. Driving directions available at www.cobblebeach.com. Arrangements
entrusted to the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, Wiarton. In lieu of flowers,
donations made to the Lion's Head Physician Recruitment Fund or Lion's
Head Hospital would be appreciated by the family as expressions of
