JOHNSTON, Gordon William 1924 - 2010 Gordon went to his Creator June 3rd in his 86th year. Gordon joined his parents Oliver Johnston and Iola Chegahno, wife Stella Johnston, sons Bradley and Gordon and daughters Lizz and Veronica as well as his brothers and sisters Victor, Doug, Wilda and Pauline. Left with teachings and memories are children Karen (Bill), Judy, Owen (Jennifer), his extended family Merceline, Lana, Marlene, Marsha, Sylvia, Daphne, Larissa, Harmony and Amy. Also missing him are brothers-in-law Ron (Lila) Johnston and Peter (Mildred) Johnston, sister-in-law Marie (Earl) Morgan and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Gordon has left behind a legacy of love, not only for his family and foster children but his community. All whose lives were touched by Gordon are richer for the love he shared. Visitation will be held at the Maadookii Centre on Saturday, June
5th from 4:00 to 6:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday June 6th
from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate
Gordon's life will be held at Cape Croker United Church on Monday,
June 7th, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Little Port Elgin Cemetery.
Arrangements entrusted to the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, Wiarton. In lieu
of flowers, donations made to the Maadookii Centre or the charity
of your choice would be appreciated by the family as expressions of
