McCREADIE, John

of Burlington and formerly of Owen Sound and Wiarton passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 in his 78th year. Beloved husband and best friend of Joyce McKnight. Loving father of Scott (Josefine), Morag (Ernie), Glen and Jeffrey. Loving stepdad of Brian (Cathy), Jim (Laura) and Jennifer (Chris). Cherished Grandpa of Kevin, Steve, Angelica, Ryan, Candace, Matthew, Sarah, Bradley and Emily. John will also be sadly missed by his many other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents and brother James. John was a cabinet maker by trade and had a great love for woodcarving and excelled in all his fine craftsmanship. He also loved gardening and was an avid golfer.

In respect of John's wishes, cremation has taken place. Private family interment Greenwood Cemetery. A celebration of John's life will be held at the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, Wiarton on Saturday, January 9, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. followed by a time to share memories. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy.
