of Wiarton passed away at Wiarton Hospital on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 in his 86th year. Cherished father of Ross and his wife Diane of Burlington, Barb of Toronto and Greg and his wife Ann of Oliphant. Special grandfather to Jordan and her husband Scott Hill, Taryn Moore and Justin Smeltzer. Doug will be sadly missed by his brother-in-law Jack Uffen of Toronto, sister-in-law Pat Moore of Ohio and his good friend Jeanette Heilkema as well as his many friends in the Wiarton area. Doug was predeceased by his wife Audrey, parents Ethel (Moon) and Thomas Moore, brothers Tom, Ken and Russ and sister Marie Uffen. In respect of Doug's wishes, cremation has taken place. A private
family interment will be held at Balsam Grove Cemetery. There will
be a time for friends and family to share memories and celebrate Doug's
life on Saturday, December 5, 2009 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Limpert
Lodge, 621 Mary Street, Wiarton. Arrangements entrusted to the GEORGE
FUNERAL HOME, Wiarton. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Wiarton
Hospital, Bruce Peninsula Hospice or the Salvation Army would be appreciated
by the family as expressions of sympathy and may be arranged by contacting
