RIEHL, Matilda Regina

of Tobermory passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 11th, 2006 in her 83rd year. Beloved wife of Melvin Riehl whom she married on June 21, 1946 and dear mother of Faye McNair of Cambridge. Matilda is also survived by brother James (Helen) Ortlieb of Kenora and sisters Emma Deyell of Wingham and Albertine Butcher of Amherstburg, two grandchildren Yvette (Barry) Brewster and Monique McNair and three great-grandchildren Adam, Aaron and Jacob Hilker all of Cambridge. She will be sadly missed by her very dear friends Tillie and Jack Vaughn of Lions Head and Judy and Bill Bishop of Tobermory as well as many nieces and nephews. Matilda was predeceased by her parents Emily (Weiner) and Frank Ortlieb, four brothers and two sisters.

The family will receive friends at the Tobermory United Church on Wednesday, June 14th from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. where the service to celebrate Matilda's life will be held on Thursday, June 15th at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Susan Shantz officiating. Interment Dunk's Bay Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Tobermory Medical Auxiliary Clinic or Lions Head Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
