SMITH, Henry

of Wiarton passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 in his 76th year. Cherished husband and best friend of Marjorie Smith for 56 years. Beloved father of Charles (Lori) Smith of Monkton, Susanne (Bill) Bos of Durham and Brad (Donna) Smith of Mitchell. Special grandpa to Jeff (Kelly), Jeremy (Angie), James (Vicki), Kailey (Dale) Dow, Tara (Shane) Matte, Nevin (Lisa) Dow, Melissa, Jenna and Tom and great grandpa to Darcy, Dana, Trayton, Brock, Marek, Olen, Seth, Sy, Sage, Dylan and Kayla. He will be sadly missed by his sister Grace (Dave) Park of Mount Forest and sisters-in-law Joan Smith and Edith Smith both of Mitchell. Henry was predeceased by his son Michael, parents Mabel (Koch) and Charles Smith and brothers John and Ross.

Henry was a long standing member of the Bruce Peninsula Sportsmen's Association and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 208.

Visitation will be held at the GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, Wiarton on Sunday, November 8, 2009 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. There will be a Legion service at 1:45 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Henry's life will be held at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, 553 Gould Street, Wiarton on Monday, November 9, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. David Leggatt officiating. Interment Elma Centre Cemetery, Atwood. Donations made to the Bruce Peninsula Sportsmen's Association or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy.
